SwimFitz provides private one-to-one home swimming lessons across London and Hertfordshire. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we use it.

Data We Collect
We only collect information necessary to provide our service:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your home or pool address
- Swimmer details (age, ability, goals)
- Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider — we never store card details)
- Any special requirements or medical information you choose to share
- Your progress-portal login for app.swimfitz.com (email address and a securely hashed password)
- Your child's first name and, optionally, their date of birth
- Swimming progress and milestones achieved
- Your lesson schedule and lesson location
- Coaching notes recorded by your teacher
How We Use It
We use your information solely to deliver and improve our swimming lesson service:
- To book and arrange lessons at your pool
- To communicate about your bookings
- To tailor lessons to your swimmers' needs
- To provide your progress account at app.swimfitz.com, so you can follow milestones achieved, what's coming next and your upcoming lessons
- To send occasional service updates (opt out at any time)
We will never use your data for unrelated marketing or sell it to third parties.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited information only with trusted service providers who process it strictly on our instructions and in compliance with UK GDPR:
- Cloud hosting & database providers (located in the EU/EEA) that run the portal
- An email delivery provider, for account and booking emails
- Accounting/invoicing software, for lesson invoices
- A payment processor, for booking payments
Within our team, teachers only see the swimmers assigned to them and their progress — not your contact details. A current list of the providers we use is available on request.
Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Access is restricted so each family can only see their own records
- Passwords are stored securely hashed — never in plain text
- No card details are stored within our app
Children's Data
Where a swimmer is a child, their information is provided by a parent or guardian with consent. We keep it to a minimum — a first name and, optionally, a date of birth — and use it only to track lessons and progress. You can ask us to correct or delete a child's data at any time.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as you are an active client and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. After that, or on request, we delete it. Financial records are kept only as long as required by law.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us to exercise any right.
